    ATX- spinning is deadly

    Here's an article I stumbled across that talks about ATF heat and its resulting life expectancy:

    Although he doesn't back up any of his claims with any real data, the general idea is sound. ATF + excessive heat = bad news.

    Yup, 90% of all automatic transmission failures are due to heat. Thus my trans fluid cooler that came with my lifetime warranty

    Mine btw was in that other 10%... which reminds me, its almost time for my warranty required free fluid/filter change and system checkup.



    Oh, and whats this snow/ice stuff? :P
