Replacing stock motor mount: will I notice a big difference?

I've read about one of the motor mounts failing on the 3's after time. It doesn't seem to be doing that great of a job as it is... Do you guys think it is worth it to purchase a stronger, stiffer aftermarket one? Will it be a noticeable difference?

(I figured I'd make this thread since it is a common problem and will eventually become an FAQ )

    to answer your questions....

yes, its beyond worth it in my opinion... and yes, you will notice a difference... the shifting is smoother, and the engine feels much more planted, throttle response is also improved
now the drawback to aftermarket motor mounts are the vibes... if the vibes wont bother you then upgrading MM are worth it, i personally am not bothered my the vibes whatsoever but i have a freind that hated the vibes so much he took the mounts back out and sold them...

i guess its jsut a decision of comfort vs. performance... IMO the vibes arent bad at all, but then again im also very used to them (been on the car for a year)
that can be something you can get a feel forin my car if you havent bought them before LimeRock

well which ones are you looking to upgrade, or you looking to upgrade them all??

i have corksport rear MM inserts, a topspeed passenger side MM (long story behind that one) and the stock tranny mount cause the aftermarket options wont work for my tranny mount... i also have an engine torque damper as well so theres really minimal movement to my motor, lol

Which made the most significant difference in throttle response and just lag in general? Isn't it the rear one that is known to shit out on the 3's?

Ever hear of that? $88 isn't too bad for the rear mount
