Lisa, if it isn't the plug it is a very easy fix. IIRC the sensor was around $40 from the dealer. I did have to buy a 19mm locking flex combination ratcheting wrench for the install of the sensor though.
I tried. It is very easy though. Just unbolt the intake from that section, unplug the harness and remove sensor. I bought the wrench as it is a very tight space.

I replaced the sensor, cleared the code and drove it around a bit.. the temp gauge seems to stay in the middle (like it should).. I hope it worked!
