I read 12 pages before I gave up

    stage 1 = $3,695.00
    stage 2 (additional parts) = $650

Comes with a 3yr warranty, but if you do any changes to your car, like a header for instance, it'll void the warranty.

    I want a limited slippppp

    Wow....thats a little much!!

But I guess you are paying for the R&D of the parts.

I'd rather pay 4k for a bulletproof 220whp s/c setup that gives me power through the entire rpm range than have a turbo, because I would just continue to turn up boost and need to build the motor.

Not everyone can afford a speed3. It's nice to have the option to s/c a 3 and get the power when you need it, not to mention the reliability.

    Bigger breaks
    better suspension
    better looking
and has a factory warranty i think is better than having a car that you put together yourself and ms3s now arent even that much. you can pick up a used one for 18k

Or.....it just might be cheaper to do all those things yourself to a regular 3 wagon than buying a MS3.

And you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself, as compared to being some rich pretty boy who buys his performance and knows nothing about his car.

Well the current 3 starts at 20,290 and the ms3 at 23,945. Difference of 3,655.

And satisfaction? wheres the satisfaction of a car having problems up the ass and you having to keep dumping money into it to keep it running then you end up paying 40k for a car that is completely not worth it. and by that time probably could of gotten a z06 and been done with it

Nobody ever said that you had to not know anything about the car and im pretty sure a lot of the current ms3s owners are X reg 3 owners

If you do it right then there will be no more problems than a regular speed3.

I guess you just don't understand the satisfaction of actually doing something like that. When you can stand back and say...I did that myself.

But whatever. Guess that is what separates the true gear heads from the posers.

Haha its not just about performance, its about working with your hands. Modifying. Customizing.

If the intake and header was a slight against me I will disregard it. What I am saying is that to ME it is worth the extra cash, because I did it and didn't just pick it up at the dealer or a speed shop. HECK even if I did buy a speed3 the waranty would be voided so fast it wouldn't even matter!!

Sorry for ruining this thread. Could someone please move this to the insipid thread or even the trash.

    [/end threadjack]
