Saturday morning is the 5K Foot Race (during which time my brother feels it necessary to shout at the runners and tell them to at least try and make race car noises or something! LOL), and the Rolex Legends race where they have historic rolex 24 hour cars that do a few laps, paddock tours, etc. No practice.

It's a 5k foot race on the track, yes.

I did the 5k the second year that they did that... ppl yelled at us and were playing Queen "we are the champions" on their RV's PA lol.


Edit: and they use most of the rolex track, they cut off some of the infield to make it an even 5k.

Can anyone recommend some ballin hotels in the area? i dont feel like driving back every day for 4 days.

If you getting a 4 day ticket doesn't that include camping on the infield? No need to drop so much money on a hotel... late January and early Feb. are the most expensive times to be staying in Daytona due to Speedweeks.
