I've had people put a STICKER on my car to tag me... it was adhesive, but not strong enough to do ANY DAMAGE. That way the person HAS to sign up and they'll be pissed that someone put a sticker on their car...
the trick is to use adhesive that DOESNT damage the car.
know the type you mean, i can get reusable vinyl... but.. i dunno.. some ppl would get ticked off *just* for putting a decal on their ride.

The only thing about these was that they do not have individual usernames on them. But it is pretty easy to make up some small stickers to go on the corner of the cards with that info.

Just let the site crap out like it did so frequently.
once we get a decent amount of content we can link people to this site from other forums. ie. person has question, link them to a thread here that answers it.
unfortunately tagging local cars and spreading the word on regional forums only goes so far. we're getting 2-3 joins a day, which seems ok at this point. can we make the referal a required part of registration? that way a member, club or other site can be named and we can see were the traffic is coming from.
well, maybe to emphasize referrals when signing up, but if its required, idk...
I really need to work on TMF showing in google searches/etc.

I don't think it would keep people from registering. Other opinions? Maybe people would see that as intrusive?
