The Toronto Protege Club decided to support this year's Tuners Against Street Racing event. With around 20 Mazda Protege at the pre-meet, the group rolled into the show at 9:00am to ensure there will be a good spot saved. Although it rained in the morning, members were crazy about washing their cars and making sure every bit of it was shiny as there were still 2 hours before the show officially opens to the public.
As the Tuners Against Street Racing show started, there were food served from the vendors, raffle tickets, live DJ, even a blow up castle for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters charity. Throughout the day, quite a number of kids were seen with their big brothers or big sisters walking around the show to check out all the modified cars, little kids asking questions about how cars that is touching the ground can be driven on roads.
As afternoon came, the clouds simply disappeared and was replaced with blue skies and and very hot sun. Participants saught shelter in shades under trees while others sat inside their cars with the AC on. Some even went to a local gas station to load up on freezies.
Soon, the show was coming to an end and the awards were presented to the winners by spokesmodels, Heidy and Miki. The day came to a close at around 6:00pm with members of TOprotege having a group team photo and members heading home towards various directions.
