    Smile Exhaust Question

Hey guys. I'm new to the forums. I have a 2004 Mazda 3 hatch 2.3. I'm looking to change the exhaust. I want a loud, nice sound, nothing ricey and don't want to remove the cat. I was looking into the HKS catback, but noticed that it does't have a catalytic converter. HKS sounds really good IMO. Would removing the resonator and replacing the stock muffler with an HKS muffler sound good? I don't want any fart cans. Any thoughts or suggestions?

This question may be a little to old, but, let me clarify it for other members.
Actually it's more simple than you think. Catback means "From catalytic converter to the back(tips)" so you keep your catalytic converter and easily mount the performance catback behind it. No need to custom fit anything. You can see how it usually works in this article.
