So i was at wal mart today in a dilemma....I have a 19 hour drive back to cali and dont want my cars new paint getting destroyed by rocks and bugs....Is it safe to use blue painters tape, its been about a month and 10 days since its came out of paint...they have delicate surface tape and multi purpose tape...can I use either?

It'll be okay. It's safe for drywall etc, which is more fragile than your paint. Just don't leave it on for 10days.

if they have the green automotive tape, that will work too, and leave a bit less adhesive behind

Green is the BEst..but not usually found in regular stores....Blue will suffice...but get it off as soon as you get to where you are going..and dont forget the leading edge of the roof , the A pillars and the mirrors.
Those are key areas as well.

Ben....There is a local detailer company...That Griots place...they have a sweet product that is a "temporary" spray on bra...It looks like Rhinoliner, but peels off with no residue when you get down there....
Check it...only $10.00

And it works quite well? I know I think duplicolor sells a clear spray-on bra too.

Yeah, the spray on stuff works great...and it comes off really easy...as long as you put a thick enough coat on...A local guy swears by it...and his car is ridiculously new looking...
