Does mazda make a bigger alternator?

I need a bigger alternator for my 02 mazda protege. I'm running a pretty big audio system.

no... you can have yours rewound for higher max output, but you will loose power at idle

i have a pretty epic audio system as well, i put in a new alternator and optima red top battery and all is well....def. alot more power and no dimming and power loss

What you can also do is have a rewound alternator installed and have a machine shop make you a custom pulley to speed the alternater up so you get full amps at a lower rev range. That way worst case scenario is that you have similar charging amps to stock at idle but much more off idle.
