Let me start by saying I hope this thread does not turn into a bashing of Hiboost and TBK Performance. I have read many threads on this forum and others that people have blasted both companies. I will be the first to tell you that things happened that should not have happened. I am not getting paid from either company, I am just sharing with the Mazda community, a new product that is available.
I have been told by both companies that changes have been made to prevent the same mistakes from re-occuring. I am hoping that anyone who decides to purchase this new product, will receive it in a timely and is satisfied with it.
The kit is basically a bigger GT35r (or the more streetable T3/TO4E is also available and making pretty the same power) mounted to Hiboost manifold and downpipe with all the accessories to bolt up to the stock exhaust. The kit makes 330 WHP on stock everything and pump gas. A software upgrade is in the works to increase HP. The test car will be soon fitted with a front mount intercooler to see how much HP can be gained.
I will update this thread with the price and when the kits are ready and available to be shipped out or you can visit Hiboost.com.
I am not a mechanic or an expert so any questions raised, I will consult Manuel and Juan for the answers. Again thank you for your interest.

I just got more detailed info making.
The kit is making 330 WHP at 12.5 psi
The kit includes, a big turbo, downpipe inlet & outlet pipe, oil lines inlet & outlet, hiflow turbo manifold, Tial 38mm wategate and all the other necessary accessories to bolt up to stock hardware.
With the T3/To4E Turbo, the kit is $2200
With the GT3071, GT3076 or GT35R, the kit is $2750
The Front mount Intercooler Kit is also ready. It comes with the intercooler and the piping to relocate it to the front of the car. The core is made in the USA with polished endtanks, no the cheap Chinesse knoeck off.
With HKS SSQV or Gredddy Type RS BOV, the kit is $950
Without the BOV, the kit is $825
The first batch of Front Mount Intercooler Kit and Turbo Upgrade Kits are being made and should be available in a month.
Stay tuned!! Photos to come

sounds really good. I can't imagine how much power you'd make if you tuned it properly. There's a ton of power to be had with the stock turbo and a good tune.
Well this work on the MS6.

interesting setup, imho with that many changes you'll need some sort of tuneable system though or ecu flash to go along with it.

QFT. As well as the debatable issue of Mazda internals at that power level.
Rods go boom!

People bash HiBoost on here? how do I miss these things, I thought I read every post ever made?! haha
But seriously, I love hiboost stuff :) I've just heard they're way slow putting the kits together and shipping them out is all.
the hiboost kits look well made. well, i havent seen any for the ms3, but i have for the 3 and protege.

I bet he's referring to "the other place" when it comes to bashing.
Really neat kit. If only it wouldn't void a warranty...and I had the car.

Hi everyone, again sorry for the late response. Here the answers to some of the questions that have been asked so far. By some miracle, I was able to get Manuel and Juan together to answer the questions for you guys.
(1) Is the flange on the wastegate universal or specific tial- The flange is for a 38mm wastegate
(2) If you already have a dp and fmic, can you get the missing parts- Yes, prices for individual parts to the kit will be sold once the kits are ready
(3) Can the mazdaspeed3 handle over 330 whp especially if you have other performance parts and decide to purchase this kit- -Yes, the GT35R and the T3/To4E makes power very linearly throughout the powerband which prevents the engine from blowing even with the car untuned. The car comes from the factory very rich and even with this kit the car is still running rich. The stock turbo does not make power linearly and at high rpm, it is only making at times 180-200 whp and thus the boom!
(4) Is a base map available for a 06 2.3L with a 3 bar map sensor, T3/T4 turbo on 440cc injectors- No Manuel has a map for the above but with 440cc and 550cc injectors using the Haltech unit ofcourse.
(5) Where is the test car currently- It is in Columbia. Juan is going back to dyno test the kit with the front intercooler and get us some new dyno video soon.
(6) Where did you relocate the p/s cooler or does it block it- No, the p/s is still in the stock location
(7) Where is the boost pressure being measured from- intake manifold.
(8) What is the the intercooler size- core is 24x7x3
(9) How much torque is the car putting out- Juan did not remember when I asked him this question but I will get a response soon.

MS3 engine is fine as far as internal goes. I think it's a rather "hardcore" engine.
Reminds me of the BPT's. You just can't break them..

The synchros for 2nd, however...those are shit.

Mazda for some reason lacks in that department with the Mazdaspeeds.
I think they put all their goodies in the Miata's and just cut close with all the others.
As far as I'm concerned the MSP's have issues with their 3rd now the MS3 with their 2nd?
Come on Mazda..
But I see what they are doing. If they really did beef it up then it would just add $$ to the price. It'd still be nice to have a beefy tranny with a beefy engine. Not only that, it'd be nice to not have a flippin' engine fall due to a bad mount.

Juan went back to the dyno and turned up the boost on pump gas.

The 465 whp and 477 whp were achieved using a tuning software, pump gas and stock internals. More info on the tuning software and its price to come.

The software is Cobb Accessport from Cobb Tuning. You can see it in the 465 whp video showing the psi.
Yes the car is running on stock internals. This is a customer's car so there is no plans of testing it till it blows.
These numbers make me feel like buying a speed3.

yeah, I think it's a done deal for me. I'm trading in the Speed6 on a speed3.
Juan's kit is just the manifold and turbo or what?
thats awesome. but i think non-22v cars would make about 70hp less ;)

Due to te current economic situation, the production of the kit has been delayed. We were trying to get the kit installed on a local speed3 but we were not sucessful.
Manuel has a speed6 in the shop that the kit will be put on. Yes the kit is just about the same for the speed6 and speed3. Once Manuel finish working on the Audi S4 with bigger turbos and builted engine then the speed6 will be finished.
The speed6 owner might even get his engine builted.
Stayed tuned!
alright.. this is effin nuts... I'll be waiting for speed6 results, and getting my CC ready of course ... need to up my limit to at least 5K for this one. :D
