AUX only runs 1 bank

OK so in the jeep I just bought Friday night it came with a Sony Xplod and I noticed when I put a CD in I get good sound HOWEVER when I use the front AUX jack and put it in AUX and hook up my iPod I only get the drivers side of speakers working..

Any reason why that would be? Maybe it just needs to be rewired?

Any info would be good to know before I dive into it.

The jack could be dirty or there could be a short in the cable. or the fade/balance settings on the aux input.

The Cd and the Aux use the same output so wiring shouldn't be a issue.

the cord is fine, I could try and blow out the port otherwise I have manually adjusted the fade/balance that is how I know that BOTH left front and rear ONLY works.. for some reason the passenger side has no sound at all ONLY in AUX mode.

if you are sure the cable is good then my guess would be that there is a problem in the actual head unit. Otherwise i'm out of idea's.

yeah I know it works because that cord works fine in my bmw.

I'm gonna see if there is a rear aux port.. if so I will try it there

Well them I'm out of guesses. Good luck with it but I'm pretty sure its not the wiring since the cd and the aux share the output.

ok well maybe the rear pot will work...

if you are having problems with aux inputs and your cords are
fine you probably have a bad / broken solder joint on the board.
pretty easy fix.
