Well, I need a new knob. Mine, as you can see, is cracking on the top and it's rough on the hand and eyes. I would like a stocker knob, preferably this kind. For now I've fixed the problem with the shift knob from my dad's old Datsun B-210. While its wayyyyy more comfortable and fits my driving style better than my stock knob, it's wood grain and obviously doesnt go with the car. lol

Anyone got a knob for like $5-10? Or free? lol

I could do $5 plus shipping. Leather is ok.

THe metal part on top is just an insert. You can get a small screwdriver...
pry the thing off...
sand off all the clear coat and the sticker...
Use a scotchbright pad to make brushed finish lines in one direction...
The disk is solid metal so the finish looks stock...I think it is stamped aluminum...

Anyway, you can make it presentable again. I have this set-up as a winter knob, when the Kartboy gets way to cold for my liking...

I could do that.... I do like the sound of that leather knob tho....

OMG the woodgrain one is soooooo comfortable. And it fits my driving style. (I like a longer shift lever) It's alot taller than the stock golf ball knob.
