Well I was in Pittsburgh today test driving the "fury" and my clutch almost burned up on a stopped hill. It smelled nasty all the way home! YUCK!

Alright, I guess Steve and Jess have been catching some heat about what I said earlier. Apparently, we had a big of a communication problem on my part. Don't worry, we will still have a nice drive for you guys, so don't be busting up the OAC heads. :lol:

I will have something finalized this weekend. Still let me know who all is coming with you and if you are staying for all events.

**UPDATE!!**

I have the route done. I drove half of it today (the part I've never driven before) and it's going to be really enjoyable for you guys. You'll be seeing a nice mix of subdivisions, really small towns, some of Pittsburgh historic steel mills, and then nothing but trees. We will be on some really nice stretches of road. I even surprised myself today.

Overall mileage will be down to ~45 from start to end. It should take about 2-2.5 hours overall to run the course, may vary depending on how many stops we make (We will be making at least two). I will run the whole course early next week and then pass all the material to the OAC so they can prepare it for everyone.

Hopefully you guys will enjoy what I have planned.

Another Update

I was out and aboot today and talked to both QS&L and FunFest about Sunday.

At QS&L, we are getting their outside patio/bar area plus they are roping off an entire section of their parking lot for us. We will all be together and pretty much have our own area. Just pray for no rain.

For bowling, I got us scheduled to start around 6:15-6:30. Give us a little leeway to get there and settled after the drive. It will be $12 per person for UNLIMITED bowling for two hours, plus a $75 deposit for which I have already paid. They suggest that I collect the money beforehand so it will be easier for everyone to just show up, get their shoes and start bowling. So I would like to collect the money before we leave QS&L. If you feel more comfortable waiting until we get to FunFest to pay, that's fine as well. Just trying to make it easier for everyone.

In addition, they said that we could do a pizza deal where for $3 a person, you would get two slices of pizza plus unlimited soda refills. I don't know if everyone would be interested in that, so if people want to do it, let me know and I'll get it set up.

I'm so tempted to go but that's too early for me to put my summer wheels and tires on. Even if temps do consistently get to 10C daily (my threshold for putting the wheels/tires on) I would probably break rims and blow out tires on my way to the highway from my house. Streets are way too terrible.

It was a fun time! Love the hills... ups, downs, tight turns, tires squeeling... I got a lil motion sick from all the turns. Funny watching people standing on the sidewalks and seeing 20 mazdas go cruising by.....btw... thanks OAC crew... I would never have made it back by 1:00 am... prob. would've got lost in Pennsylvania... altho I did feel alone when I was driving the rest of the 3 hours back by myself when Hal left.Pennsylvania crew... thanks for having me cruise with you all. It was a lot of fun hanging out with you all.

Had a great time hangin out with everybody yesterday. It was nice to meet a couple new faces too. I had a blast. It was pretty cool to getting chaufured around in my own car, although at times it was killing me that I wasn't hitting some of the twisties up.
