Mazdapalooza moving to Fall/Spring: Mazdapalooza Fall 2008 in Orlando, Oct 2008!

I thought I would post up early with the news that Mazdpalooza will be moving to Fall/Spring, to avoid freezing at winter, boiling in summer. We have a date set for Saturday, October 11th, 2008 at Classic Mazda of Orlando!!!

Sponsors, T-Shirts, freebies, raffle items, and of course, trophies being setup right now for the People's Choice Car Show aspect! So much more to announce as it comes up. www.mazdapalooza.com will be having a big face-lift and more information about sponsors as soon as available!

Invite everyone! All Mazda and automobile enthusiasts are welcome to this family-oriented event. All clubs, forums, groups, etc are welcome to come out! We are still opening our doors to Non-Mazdas for our event, as well. It is a tradition since the 1st event back in January of 2006.

I didn't weigh it but its a hell of a lot lighter than my last box. My last box was 80 pounds, cut for 12's and looked like ass. Thats why my drop looked so good with my Goldlines lol. The piece holding my amp only weighs about 7-8 pounds and the boxes are pretty light too.

- remove oil pan (harder than it sounds cause they used caulking or something of the sorts to seal it)
- drill oil pan
- weld/epoxy bung on oil pan
- re-install oil pan & oil return line
- make/modify intercooler piping to fit
- relocate MAF
- install and wire gauges
- route vacuum lines and MBC
- replace PCV valve & insert check valve
- swap stock for MSP ECU
I'm sure i'm forgeting something but you get the idea.

I've gotten good and fast at removing the stock header and putting in a new one. i've done it a few times on my car alone. lol

I was gonna do the install and fog mod at Palooza. Shouldn't take more than an hour tops to do both.

Fog mod took me 15 min, and as long as josh doesn't want his bumper pulled (which I can do in under 10 minutes now) if he doesn't mind the Ballasts being inteh engine bay, hour tops on both things.

Get tthere early and do it while it's cool, and we'll be golden

It's the ApexCone DDM kit, so, not not big and bulky. And, they're black so no shiney silver box.

That is the guy I rented from. Great amount of work time to receive, roll, and return. $90 total. I am not sure you will be able to roll at Palooza. Will need power to run the heat gun.

Ok, so JC is coming over to my place at around 10:30pm Friday the 10th and we are going to start on his Tokico's and springs and do a midpipe install. Also a good wash and wax before we roll out... weather permitting. So with that said, anyone else who wants to help or needs help installing something we can pull an all nighter if needed. Up to 2 more people are welcome to crash at my place as well if you don't wanna drive so far so early in the morning. JC has dibs on my bro's vacant room and we have a futon and a couch lol. So whos down for a pre-palooza overnight install meet?!

Since I have already got screwed on my tranny for $3k I think its save to just add to my credit card with some paint... too bad the tranny shop don't do paint. :(

I don't know that we should do it there but... JC and I are installing springs, rear sway bar, and mid pipe the night and morning before if you want to join us I will gladly do my 3rd header install :) Unless Raider approves it then I WILL be able to do it at the meet.

Midpipe: 20 mins
Rear Sway Bar: 20 mins
Header: 90 mins

Honestly I'd rather do the header at the meet, but it helps to have the air tools I have at home. Wonder if I can run the air compressor off my power converter?

Plus, I have installed headers. The OBX is a PIA. The ERG does not always line up, and all kinds of mayhem can ensue.

Before you put the OBX in, go get all new hardware. Especially the bolts to the head, as those tend to snap.

Yeah, it was my fault for no pmming. I just saw all the 247 guys chatting here at the time, so I thought it would go over. No worries, we will have some at the event. COME EARLY is my recommendation.

That is when the event officially starts. Just do not roll in at 1 pm expecting to be able to enter the show, or a lot of shirt sizes left. We have a lot of people coming in at 9 am

We tend to close judging down around 2:30, so you will have limited judging time ,unless the car was left at the dealer. You need to be clear when you are parking, that you gotta leave. We are expecting, as with most events, that when you come in, you are not leaving, coming back, etc. We need to know so you can be placed where you can exit.

We got home a while ago, thought I would post up and thank everyone for coming out. We raised $120 for our charity! We also broke the record for attendees. We had roughly 200+ cars show up, and not all showed, based on the parking counts during the meet. Will tally the #'s in the show tomorrow. Details on Spring Palooza 2009 in March coming soon. I can say that Classic Mazda has already given the word, we will be having it there!

We beat all expectations for this event, and I am glad everyone had a blast! I am sorry the Fall time ended up still being hot!
