Hey guys....I just switched from a Turbohoses SMIC to Brad's (Turbolife) new Perrin replica FMIC kit. The kit is amazing and I love it, but I now have a little roughness at idle and went from having dead on AFR's because of a tuned Unichip to going Waaaayyy lean especially under WOT. Cruising speed is not bad and stays pretty normal, but with any extra gas I go lean almost off the gauge.
When I was installing the kit there was a short break in the action because of a thunderstorm....now this was the cause of a little water getting into some areas it should probably not have (I have a vented hood). I cleaned most if it out and attribute the rough idle to this (possibly)....but the car going way lean is something that I am going to need help with. Is going to a FMIC going to lean me out that much compared to a SMIC? Is there anything I can do to get this back on track short of having to go get a retune from Altered atmosphere?
I should also mention that when I had the car tuned it was with the maf relocated...now the maf is back in it's original spot on the intake due to the configuration of Brad's kit. So I am looking for whatever help you guys can give me to get this thing running better. There are so many variables at play that it could just be the FMIC switch or it could be a combination of issues.
Any suggestions?
