Dislaimer:Please excuse the absolutely terrible Photoshopping. I have never taken the time to learn how to do this properly.
Just bored and brainstorming on what I might do in the spring...

If you're painting them yourself, I'd do black...It's the easiest to get to look nice...If a professional is doing it, I this gold/bronze would be cool...
I went through this same problem, then I realized...Silver looks better than chipped paint of any color..

I think black or a nice rich bronze (dark) would look nice.
I know there's someone in Toronto with the wheel colour I'm talkin about on 02.5+ wheels.. granted it's a white car but you can see what the wheels look like at least. I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

powder coat them black....whatever you choose to do make sure you powder coat...it is far more durable than just painting them.

And if possible keep the "Flying M" chrome.

i hate my black wheels
black anything is usually a love-hate relationship...I love how my black msp looks when it's clean, but it looks awful only a few days later when the dirt gets on it...not to mention how easy it is to see a scratch...I had the unfortunate pleasure of using a micro fiber towel that somehow landed some brillo in it...left three HUGE scratches across my trunk-lid that I cant stand now...
As far as the wheels go though I will be honest...Black would look good if they were aftermarket wheels, but people will know they are just black stockers...and the stockers dont look very nice, they are a very plain design...but if you are set on painting them, I would go with powdercoated black.
