Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development is going host a huge Mazda Corral @ Road America, August 8-10, 2008. The following series will be at the track.

ALMS-Featuring the B-K Motorsports LMP2 Car

Star Mazda-they use the 13b in these cars, Rotary guys will love that.

MX-5 Cup-the last two winners of this series are currently driving for Tri-Point, Jim Daniels and Jason Saini. Maybe we can have a couple of bunnies model our cars?

SWC TC-See the Mazda 6's of Tri-Point, Tindol & Horton Motorsports.

Stay tuned for further details, as we have a scheduled conference call to iron out all of the final details. If you have never attended, one of these event, this will be the one to attend. As you will see every Mazda race team, with the exception of the Rolex GT and KONI Challenge teams.

So look for a post Thursday morning, outlining the details of the corral and what special events we have planned for all of the Mazda owners and their guests.

Not yet as we are working final details tomorrow , in our conference calls. I know that Dave the VP of Marketing for WC Vision is working on a few items as well for us. So it should be a great event, as B-K Motorsports has a big hand in this one too!

Awesome. Well, if I can swing a few things, I'd love to try to come along. I'd most likely volunteer to be a co-driver with someone else going, if I can swing it.

I was wondering when we would see details for the Corral. My wife and I were at the corral at Sebring for 2007 LeMans, and it was a blast.

Last night we had a conference call with Mazdaspeed Motorsports, here is what was decided last night.

1. The corral will be held @ Turn #14

2. We will have giveaways at the event

3. There will be a silent auction to benefit Juvenile Diabetes and Austism Speaks

4. Paddock Tours of B-K Motorsports, Tri-Point, Horton and Tindol Motorsports, Team MER of the MX-5 Cup & A couple of the Star Mazda teams.

5. Meet and Greet with all of the Mazda Drivers and crews.

6. Private autograph and photo session

7. We are working on allowing Mazda owners to camp at the corral (tentative)

There will be lots more surprises, so come on out and join us, we are looking for 50-75 cars, or more. This will be a huge event, so make sure you make it, this is a definite Mazda weekend, as the only Mazda teams that aren't here are the ROLEX GT Cars and the KONI Challenge cars.

We are also looking into local motels/hotels as well for those who do not want to camp, we'll keep you informed and will have a flier posted up by Monday, along with a schedule of events.

I believe we can have a few of bunnies 2 come see our cars in our corral!!!!

every time I see this thing in the forum view it says "Mazdaspeed Corral @ Road A..." which, to someone who lives 30 minutes from Road ATLANTA, looks a helluva lot like Road Atlanta. It's killing me! There's all this excitement then awww... road america again, fail :( lol

We'll be working on Petit Le Mans soon, so Road Atlanta will be the final Mazda Corral for 2008 and then it is back for Sebring!!!!

I don't know, but MAN was it a race. I can't believe Mika Salo threw away the GT lead like that. He had time to make a move, but noooooooooooo, it had to be now. *sigh* oh well. However, it opened up the win for that Porsche team's 1st victory, so I guess good for them haha. The Mazda finished 5th in P2, Audis won overall, and the #3 iirc vette won out over the 008 Aston. 2 cars finished in a 3 car GT1 field. I can't even type that with a straight face.
