Suggestions: Accessory Belts

Hi

Any Ideas on what I should do for belts? I guess the dealer ones should be ok, but there are two kinds for the Protege. Ideas on which ones are better or does it really matter?

Belts are typically belts. I run a OEM timing belt, NAPA alt belt, and I need to buy a powersteering belt.

But like I said, there isn't too much difference between belts- and most of the time you'll find out that regardless of brand name, they may be made by the same manufacturer.

I run a gates racing alternator / water pump belt. It's made of a more durable material. I have 3 in stock if you want one.

I have Goodyear Gatorbacks. Strong and light... but really a belt is a belt.

yeah the OEM stuff is good, and @ 26 is the same or even a little cheaper than the Dayco stuff you get at a place like Advance Auto Parts or Autozone.

werd I have gates belts for my accessory stuff right now, good stuff so far. Been in about a year.

I forget what site I ordered from but I had a timing belt made by Mitsuboshi.. I was like "um no thanks" and bought an oem one. On their site it was listed as Mitsubishi. So I agree, only to a certain extent. Not going to put a knockoff brand on the car lol.

I had dayco belts for years with my UDP no problem.
