Hey guys!! Just wanna thank everyone here for spreading the word and signing up for this meet. We currently have 98 people registered and 5 sponsors! The meet will be held August 15-17 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC. If you are new to this then let me explain. This is the second annual EECMM! Epic East Coast Mazda Meet. Last year we held the first EECMM in Harper's Ferry, WV. With only 40 mazdas attending and now we have well over 50 now with 5 months to go! This is def an event on the rise. So please come out and join in on this Mazda extravaganza! If I could get a head count of who all is coming. I will start a list and copy and paste ur name and everyone above you to your post (only add your name if you are registered and are positive you are coming). Also! I am having shirts made for this event. The back will have a list of all the sponsors and their personal graphic. The front will have EECMM and the date and location with some kinda graphic. I have not come up with a design for the front so please! if you have ideas tell me!!!! If you are interested in a shirt they are $10 each! Pretty darn good price for custom professional shirts! If you want a shirt put it next to your name like I did. I will be ordering shirts about a month before the event. So you have time to think about it.

One more thing. We just made a forum for the meet only. This forum discusses nothing but the EECMM. it was more like lit on fire, i was involved in a rage road incident (if you keep lookin u'll see pics of my door smashed in) i had a guy kick it in after i high beamed him when he cut me off. i called the cops he went to jail. idk i think he lit my car on fire cuz they found traces of gas. but the cops aint doin jack. its screwed up.

Is anyone on here signed up yet, I'm planning on getting a hotel room (I refuse to stay in a cabin with no bathroom) at the best western, and was wondering if anyone (or two people) would want to split the cost w/me. What I'm looking at is 2br w/ 3queen beds (so everyone would have their own bed). Cost would be around 65/per night each (plus I'm sure there's some sort of BS hotel tax etc...). Note: This also includes Free continental breakfast (I know... it's tempting isn't it).

Nah, not personal, just boring. There's beach house on Sunset Beach that we rent for a week, and we usually take the family, to say the least. Well I said I wanted to pay the beach house this year [which is around $2000] but I'm told by James' mom that I can't that would be unfair [wtf?] only she can pay for it all [which would be unfair] or we split the bill. And I'm thinking if we split the bill we would have to fit our schedule to Jonathan's because he's the only on in school and the rest of us work and we can get off. And I'm thinking that Jonathan's schedule isn't going to be the weekend of the meet, hence the reason I want to pay for it and decide when to go. BUT I don't want to leave him out, so I'm think just me and James will come just for the weekend of the meet because there is no way it would work out any other way...

KOA requires that to stay at their campgrounds you reserve a minimum of 3 nites. Which by them doing this pushes away a lot of people because not everyone can afford to get away for that long. cool idea but it won't work. Lots of work has to be done on rob's car at my house in Rochester before we embark, and plus the first meet of the trip is in Toronto, followed the next day by a meet in Ohio.

I just can't see being enthusiastic about making that drive by myself at that time. I have a week to pack up and throw out most of my life to make the move happen

At this point my plan is to throw out almost everything I own, have one of my roommate's ship a bunch of my stuff dhl/fedex. I have lots of furniture but it's not worth shipping it. We're talking $3k min to have all my furniture shipped, and it's all ikea stuff that can be replaced for much less than that.
