I live in Toledo, OH. Who is near me that is good with the Protege? Someone you would trust to drop a new engine in, wire up a standalone, and tune it. I would not know how to do all 3 (well at least good). Obviously I am willing to travel... but MAM is a little far away! Thanks...

Details? What EMS? Use your old head or new? Etc.

I am just interested in general. Built engine and a good EMS. If there is a good piggy back out there, I guess I will have to go that route. I would keep the T25 and just boost it a little more, maybe 14 psi (if it can handle it). Need EMS and fuel delivery to handle it of course.

I dont know any shops that have experience with proteges but there are shops up in this area that could do it for sure
I know one of the guys at the tuningfactory here can program pretty much any standalone or piggyback system

If you are thinking of selling, DONT DO THIS. Do not drop all this money into the car and realize you jsut wasted it because, its still not fast enough for you or whatever. Think this through before you do.....I have a spare block that runs with 36k miles on it has a knock, would be good for your build though.

obviously this would only be if I were to keep the car....
if I keep it, I build it, if I sell it, I buy something that does not need built that will get me over 250whp.

There is a place in Columbus and I believe even in Cincy that will tune your unichip. Talk to Atticus about it ,he has looked into it .

Ok cool. Can the Unichip handle it though? I don't know what it is capable of.
I would not think it could handle extra injectors, but I guess I could just get bigger injectors and tune them. Who knows. More than likely I am just selling the car. I am going to be doing some investing while I am young.

It can basically do anything the MPI can from what I read, only you don't get the tuning software for it.
Its a full function piggyback, so if you can get someone to make a good tune for it with new injectors, I don't see why you couldn't use it.

I am pretty sure that I remember Shane telling me that it can be tuned for extra injectors as well as larger ones.
