Hey guys. New blower is getting ready to go in and I'm running the Haltech F10X. I want to run larger injectors. Can anyone help me with this? I'm pretty sure the stock injectors wont handle this and I'm not a fan of extra injectors (clutter).
I'm having some issues with the Haltech but I'm hoping a complete re-install will fix everything. I'm just wanting to make sure I don't max out the stockers under boost. With my last system I made 4.5psi and hit 110% IDC at about 5000rpms. that won't work with the new stuff.
Any suggestions? Juan, Ken Pat?

also, when upgrading injectors which kind do people use? I'd like something to just drop in without modification if possible. I just want to know what to look for when I start shopping for them.

if you use WRX side feed they drop right in, thats what I am using with my emanage
the ones Juan sell are 42lb injectors from a mustang I believe, they are noiser than shit, plus you have to cut the injector wires to install new connectors
get the wrx ones, cheap and well tested, ebay, subbie board for 100 bucks, be carefull on the 2005 and 2006 ( or maybe 2006) they are top feed injectors so you dont wan those

WRX injectors and turbo II rx7 injectors are said to drop in

btw I have ran my car at 15psi on the stock turbo, 94 octane and the injectors are only reaching just over 80% :)

I found RC 440cc injectors for $285shipped brand new on ebay. Do we know about these?
Tekkie, how are you using the e-manage when everyone else says it won't work? I'm wanting to instal the Ultimate on my car but one guy tried and couldn't get it to work so everyone assumes it can't be done.

Ken what will I need to change in the haltech for the new injectors? Will Ihave to tune another map all over or will it automatically compensate?

I am using the emanage blue not the ultimate, there are a few people using it. I am still tempted to get the ultimate to see if I can get it to work but I dont have a hole burning in my pocket for that much cash.
I believe the RC's will work but you have to change the injector connectors on those also if I remember correctly, they might be the ones Juan is using I am not sure.

was the e-mange install difficult for you? How much controll do you have over the timing? I'd like to keep my haltech if possible but it may be shot and thats a thousand bucks down the shitter. If I have to toss it I'm going to buy the Ultimate and just take it to a tuning shop and let them get it going right.

the instal is pretty simple, yes you can control timing, I just put in my J&S with it yesterday and its running like a charm :)
install doc is here http://www.emanageforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5
also I upgraded it from the blue to gold, which is supposed to do autotune but I have not tried it yet, I cant find any damn info on it anywhere :(
they can be had for cheap now which is nice

there are injector trims you can program into the haltech, it will not automatically compensate

shit. If the e-mange is proven to work with larger injectors and the gold can autotune I think it might be safer for me to try that.
I don't know whats going on with my haltech and I'm not sure if it'll be able to do what I need it to....I was never able to adjust my maps any either...I pulled 100% of the fuel out, saved the map, loaded the map and made 9 dyno pulls and there were no changes...I dont know what to do with it.

That e-manage instal guide was for a MSP...is it the exact same for a regular fs-de?
tekkie

it should be the same
I would not hold my breath on the autotune, but the emange is pretty easy to tune anyway, you will need a flyin miatia 02 clamp also

well the haltech is pretty well mapped from the get-go so I can stick with it unless it just wont fire at all.

yeah if you can get the haltech working i am sure its better than emanage

well my F10X has no timing control.

ah sorry I am thinking E6x, there does not seem to be a big amount of timing needed on our motors anyway from what I have seen and read

yeah. I just want something that will allow me to adjust my fuel curve easily and not drop maps or short out on me.
