Just got PM from Beau, and guess whos long block is nearing completion?
*this guy*
crank is the only thing left. Head is done, valve cover is black w/polished letters. Long rod setup, Eibach valve springs, 5 angle valve job i think, shimmed, ported and polished, spec flywheel and spec 3 hybrid. my quaife lsd is getting lonely atop my work bench.

its probably a 3 angle. 5 is very agressive and i *think* will wear down too fast. i think 5 is race prep.

congrats... having a built motor is just a huge weight lifted off your shoulder when tuning. it just gives you the ability to push the tuning without fear of making a minor mistake that could end all your fun.

well really you could still make a tiny mistake and have big problems.........you are just less likely to have those problems since everything is t3h strongAr.

also its not always the motors. sometimes its user error ;)

Discreets was VERY MUCH user error and user decision, not build quality.

Eh, talk to him about it and find out. I'm not here to speak for others. If he wants to chime in, he will. However, there were decisions made on his part that led to the eventual downfall of his motors.
