depends who you talk to :( its really one of those open for discussion questions
I think the mustang one seems to be one of the most respecticed ones even though it usually throws lower numbers than most of them

the butt dyno most fill it with just 3whp increase but the more you feel it in the butt area the more power you have just made. Another good way to dyno it to do the dollar on the dash board trick if he/ or she can't get it in the first couple of gears that tells you that you got a shit load of power. In any case these two self dyno's are not accurate or reliable but are good indicators to an power increase. honestly i have never seen a dyno inperson just never in the right place that has one but from "other people" the mustang is better in some cases with the fact the it comes some what closer to the real road though very flat ones.

what factors can influence what kind of numbers you would get from a dyno? by this i mean things like a fan in front of the vehicle, to help provide fresher/cooler air, etc?
also, how do the mustang and dynojet differ in obtaining their numbers?

The Mustang is a brake dynamometer, where the Dynojet is an inertial dynamometer. One measures torque, the other measures force.
Why do you guys think the Mustang is better?
Personally, I think the Dynojet is better, because it's consistant run to run, and dyno to dyno. A properly calibrated Dynojet in California will give you the same numbers as a properly calibrated Dynojet here in Ontario.

I think mustang is better because it give you an actual, real world measure of your cars power. Its the same as laying down those numbers out on a street, whereas a Dynojet isnt actually measuring the true output of the car because it doesnt fully load the drivetrain, thus you get a more accurate tune dynoing on a Mustang than you will with a dynojet.
This is just my opinion, but everybody local here agrees... all the big boys get tuned on a mustang and then drive down to the dynojet to get their official "dyno" number.

Haha, they do the exact same thing here too.

No one is saying you cant tune on a dyno jet... and at your low HP rating id say its fine. As we all know the more HP you put down the more precise your tunning has to be. The more "real world" to prevent from breaking things.
For simple numbers (and bigger numbers) and an a/f break down dyno jet is perfectly fine.
