I finally took this puppy out of it's box the other day.. and will be trying my hand at soldering all the wires over the next few days (while it's still warm)
Seeing as the battery in my car is dead and its all up on jackstands.... i see this as the perfect time to attempt this - seeing as i can't fry anything.

Now... with the car still turned off and NO POWER anywhere... can i load a map to the MPI tuner, or does it have to have it's 12v power to accept maps?

as well.. anybody have any maps for 8psi? i just need something to play around with until i get used to the software.
I'm currently running 4psi but will be installing an ebc to get it up to 8psi.

i am subbing to this thread to make sure no one comes in and pollutes it with anti-ems nonsense. i am sure we're all old enough to know how to behave on the internet. :)

The MPI has the basic settings already in it, but like Apoc said, you need to power it up to load a map. If playing with the SW is what you want, just load it on your computer and load someones map or datalog. If you load a datalog, you will see how the SW works as the car is driven. You don't have to be hooked up to a cap to make or play with a map. It's just to load the map so your car will run on it, the MPI itself needs to be powered up and the SW needs to be online.
