View Full Version : Oil Leak Repair...
OK I have some pretty continuous oil leaks from my oil pan. Im pretty confident that my oil return line and the tap for my oil temp gauge is leaking pretty good. What type of materials should I be using the combat these leaks(specific types of silicon, tape, etc)? I want to make sure I use the materials that are safe for the area and seal up the best, I'm loosing wayy too much oil.

Remove the pan, Clean the Grey shit off and apply liberally.

I agree with Bwizzy, Clean and perhaps lightly sand the contact surface and redo the whole process. I didnt use the exact pictured but something very similar from your local auto store.

Make sure you give it some time to cure before adding oil and driving around.
