ok quick question, i like the look of my rims, but i would like them polished. my question is what is involved in polishing a rim when you have it done? is it just sanded to bare metal? or do they dip it in something like when you have parts chromed?
thanks in advance
these are the rims racing hart CR evo knock offs how do you think they would look polished with the whole car sand mica?

so it would be better to just buy the chrome version of the wheel? i'm planning on getting different wheels in the summer anyway i just have grown fond of how this wheel looks with the car but i'd like it polished.
hmm maybe i'lll just do that.

The 15" ADVAN should be a light wheel.

Are you talking about making your black wheels appear as chrome or have a similar look? If that's the case, you should just buy new wheels that have the look you want.

To polish off oxidation/stains/swirls in wheels, it depends on the type of wheel you have. Chrome wheels are very difficult to remove any scratches from. But you'd use a chrome polish for the task. Most wheels today are clearcoated, and you would use a paint polish just like you'd use on the vehicle's clearcoat. But you must be sure to break down the abrasives in the polish completely. Otherwise they may leave light scratches behind when you wipe the polish residue off. That's the problem with hand polishing on any surface. It takes a long time to break down the adhesives completely, which is typically signalled by the polish turning transparent.

Im loving those wedsports. I think think the advans would look a bit out of place with that blue going around them...(yellow headlight overlays, sand mica car, carbon fiber)
