Is this a factory service manual? What year is it for?
I just ordered a '99 Protege FSM yesterday!

Paul, this is the one I was telling you about - 2.0L only IIRC. I can still bring it with me if you're interested.

Well I have a hard copy of the 99 FSM on its way here, so I don't need an E-copy. But I was wondering because obviously the 2001+ Proteges all have the 2.0L, so much of the manual wouldn't apply to my car.

actually, much of the manual DOES apply. I also have the 1.8L. The car is virtually the same, so most of it would be useful. However, the most important differences would be the electrical parts. Wires are different colors, also the ignition coils are different. A few other items like the electric rearview mirror and such are different as well, but almost exactly the same. I also have the 99 FSM. You should be able to remove any pages in there that reference the engine you don't have. If you have the FPDE (1.8L) toss out all the other 1.6 stuff. That significantly reduced how much there was.

Might want to get our own hosting for it thought. Never know when it will go offline.

If ever that fails, you can use http://www.archive.org/web/web.php and put in either the "ugly" site or the floptical site...
