One of my roommates is moving to Redmond this summer and I'm pushing him to get a Mazda but it won't be a Protege :P

Nice....Microsoft is a GREAT employer...the benefits are amazing....The work schedule sucks and they kind of own you, but most people agree it's worth it...I've got a couple friends that work with Microsoft, consulting and game promotion, and they like it a lot........Is he going to live in Redmond or commute from Seattle??

I forget where he's living.. when he did an internship there this past summer he was in Seattle and commuted via road bike and/or city bus.

:P as an update my roommate did secure housing and it's less than a mile from Microsoft's Redmond campus. It's great distance to cycle to work, I can't fault him on that. He was commuting to Redmond from Seattle all summer on bike (or bus when it rained.. so mostly bus ;) ) and I do the same to RIT from Rochester downtown so I know how much it can suck. Plus I think he said something about a bridge that didn't have a bike lane being close to his apartment and having to detour far to get to the bridge that did, which sucks.

Speaking of Redmond, I saw a copper red mica hatch just like mine there! I was shocked and thought I was looking into a mirror!

not to interrupt all the exciting discussions and all :p
But I've finally moved in and settled to the Seattle area.
I'm living in Bellevue by Microsoft (148th & 40th) area, in one of the many complexes near there.

Been having a lot of fun driving around, seeing all the crazy car dealerships. Especially all the ridiculous cars people at MSFT have. For example there was a GTR on campus today, but sadly I missed it :-(

I'd much rather live in CapHill like I did last summer, but the commute across 520 would kill me :-(

I don't know if it will increase any traffic at all, but I'm going to add TMF to the internal driving enthusiast's list of model specific online forums and spam the Mazda Enthusiasts group sometime soon at Microsoft with an invite.

And you should let me moderate it chris :D

we could make that happen... unless MazdasNW is some sort of official "club", in which case the people who run the club would have to be the moderators
