well I had an impact faster than that.. on that same corner of the car.. with a honda accord (not euro accord of course.. massive north america accord)

.. and there was no chassis damage or footwell intrusion at all

protege.. do you have a U.S. front bumper reinforcement (large steel bar) now that you facelifted the car?

Nope. Is it steel in the US?
The one here is white and plastic but I got neither one.
If I ever come accross one i'll probably buy it.

yeah the front bumper support is steel in the states. It comes with a piece of polystyrene installed on top of it that makes it conform to the shape of the Protege5 bumper.
