Avoid large puddles..... ROFL
You may have sucked some water into your engine, which isn't good, because water can't be compressed.
A valve may have been bent or a con rod, or in worse cases, a split or cracked engine block.
HOWEVER...
The intake on these cars is pretty high up, and water ingress wouldn't be very easy, so I'd probably have to say an electrical fault will be causing your problems. I'd check all the electrics, and use a water dispersing spray on everything.
Good luck. :thumb:

WHENEVER i go through huge puddles, either (a) master brake cylinder or (b) slave brake cylinder f*cks up :(
btw: check themost obvious things, air filter box, knock sensor, maf etc...

It sounds like you have a misfire.. unstable idle, loss of power, and sounding like there's a hole in the exhaust.
Did your check engine light come on? It should be on and flashing if you are driving around with a constant misfire, because you should absolutely not drive the car like that. It'll ruin your emissions system (melt the cats)

I seriously doubt his car is OBD2, misfire detection is an OBD2 thing
