View Full Version : RF Diesel workshop manual
I'm looking for the rf diesel engine workshop manual.
I found 1 part of it online, but cannot open it until i find the other parts.
I'v also found workshop manuals for the mazda 6 diesel engine.
Does anyone know how different these engines are mechanically? hopefully i will find out on monday at the scrap yard as they have both engines there, so i can compare them.
My main interest is because i have a possible problem with the drive gears or power steering pump, or abs pump? somewhere round there, but those parts are expensive to replace and don't want to start taking it apart without knowing what to do.
thanks, matt

the engine workshop manual does NOT cover those items concerned
I found the drive gear assembly in the mazda 6 workshop manual, it looks exactly like the one in my car. I'm hoping this gear simply needs tightening on to the camshaft. The steering pump and what i think is the abs pump is driven by this drive gear assembly, I'm hoping i can remove them without having to drain the powersteering fluid, but can't find anything about that. I'll soon find out when i try it on one of the engines at the scrap yard.

the brake system is NOT mechanically driven, however there is a vacuum pump that helps provide power assist to the brakes (though unnecessary)

but can still somebody found RF workshop manual please? :)
from what i'v read the engine was also used in ford tempo and other cars, i'm hoping i can find a online manual for one of them, or get one off ebay.

umm... just because it's the "same engine" doesn't mean it's the same! there's been many changes (and variations as a result) on this engine, and so basically anything RF that has a turbo on it is WAY different than any of the older ones
obviously! but could be a helpful guide, i just need a little help with it seeing as there is no workshop information i can find on my engine. i have the epc on the way, which shows exploded diagrams. that is useful, but doesn't provide data such as the need to remove power steering fluid in order to get at the drive gear assembly.

the closest you got is the mazda6 shit... the major differences between that motor and yours is electronic direct injection vs mechanical, turbo, intake manifold, and different cylinder head ports

afaik, there are no BA manuals, some BK stuff can be found though
you can translate it with babelfish, but not the whole page, but sentence by sentence
