Did anyone had some problems with fuel pump????

I just found out that my fuel pump drools on 2 valves, there was little fuel on engine, and it wasn't so scary, but because of configuration of instalations fuel is getting inside of a car.... and that is big ALERT... under a carpet there was some diesel fuel...

Result of this problem is bad fuel, Austrian OMW had good fuel, but now it is very poor... offcourse our oil company also had bad fuel, but now they claim that they are even better than OMW...

So... now is big dilema in my head....

There are few solutions how to solve this problem...

1. cheapest way is to get fuel pump off and to check it, maybe is only some ruber problem... > around 200 euros
2. is to repair this fuel pump.... > around 450 euros
3. to repair those 2 valves... > around 900 euros (if I repair them, fuel pump is still dangerous)
4. to get another spare fuel pump... > around 1000 euros (I have to give my fuel pump)
5. and at last, to get new fuel pump... this is a last solution, and I don't want to think about it... > around 3700 euros

I hope that no one is going to have this problems, 'cause they suck :disgust:

Hi,

It is a common problem with DITD :-(. On Polish forum there are several cases of leaking fuel denso pump. There are two valves SPV and TCV which start leaking. Both are quite expensive :-(.
You can try to use silicone and try to fix the valves or buy new one or contact local DENSO service.

There is a few information about technology how to fix the fault or if it possible to fix the valve only without buying the new one.

Direct cause of fuel in car is Timing Control Valve (TCV) which is leaking via electrical plug. Similar problem were repored by Toyota, Opel and Mazda users (the same DENSO valve). The remedy is to replace TCV (220euro) or try to use silicone first :-).
The replacment is not so dificult but it must be done with care and in clean condition.

All explanations which I found was a poor oil quality, but the problem was reported from different markets so maybe it is a general DENSO problems not fuel quality???

At least I repleaced TCV by myself, it is not so complicated. There is no more leak and engine sill is ok.
