Tail light bulbs..

My friend just bought altezza chrome tail lights and he told me he had to modify the bulb base fittings. So are the US version tail lights different that european? Or is it just poor manufactured lights?

Another question... Could somebody kindly make a list of different bulb types / bases used in Protege / protege 5 cars?

yes they are different from the european ones... however if you have a 2003 model, no modifications should be necessary

I´d like to know the tail fog light / reverse light bulb type.
I know the tail/brake bulb is 7443 and turn signal is 7440.
