Hey all, I got a '99 323F as my first car a few weeks ago. For some reason the height adjustment of the headlights isn't working. The lights were set way too low when I got it and I had to adjust them manually using the screws on the headlights. Naturally, I don't want to do that every time I load it up with some weight. The adjustment wheel is there, but it's not lighting up like the other switches next to it. I also looked for some mechanical contraption behind the headlight, but didn't find one. (Not that I know what I'm looking for... I used this pic as a reference:)

I also checked the fuses and they all seem to be there and working.

I love mazda's but I'm not really car-tech-savvy so I really need some help here. Anyone got any ideas? :mhm:

if the leveling motor is not there then the headlight may have been replaced at one point in time with a non-leveling unit... or if the motor is there, it could simply be a wiring problem

If the motor isn't there you dont have to be a mechanic to figure out why it isn't working. But I dont even know what motor to look for... :sorry: To me, everything under the hood is one big motor. :shifty:

Yea, but is that what it should look like on my car too? The back of my headlights aren't black and they dont look quite like the one in the picture. Could it be that the motor is placed somewhere else and/or look different?
