I have a 2002 323 ZM 1.6L. Car is from Singapore. I bought the car with plugs that have six ground electrodes on them. The plug's name is EP RA5TC. I cannot find any info on the plug on the net. Does anyone have any info?
Thanks.

them look just like a set of DENSO'S plugs that i bought. might be a sister product. mine had those same six prongs. they gave my mechanic hell to space & install.

Wow, I've only worked with 4 electrode plugs. Never more than that.

Anyway,

I replaced them with good old NGK ZFR5F-11. Could not get the colder ZFRR6 plug in Trini. Idle seems to be a little smoother now too.

Any body want to buy the exotics?

Hi,
Im from Singapore. I didn't know that some of our car here make it to Carribean.. 8-) 8-)

Anyway, its not necessary to use back the plugs that came with the car. U can try NGK iridium ZFR5FIX-11. Im using it right now on my 2003 mazda 323. I've been using it for about 9mths already, so far so good.

those multi electrode spark plugs do NOT increase performance and are just a gimick

also, many who have used various brands of these types of plugs have experienced failures from them... particularly with the ones that had electrodes breaking off on them and damaging the engines (engine was tuned properly and was in good working order)!

Yeh, I believe that multi-ground plugs are a gimmic. There is an idea about them being longer lasting, because of less wear on each electrode, but engine performance is the same as with standard plug.

And at $10 and $15 US a plug for Irridum and Platinum, I would go with the $2.50 US ZFR5F.

Oh yes, we have a big trade with Singapore in 3-year old used vehicles. The condition is good, and the features you get in these cars are superior to the new vehicles sold here. And the price is way below.
