I believe only from the MP3, P5, and MSP.....but I need the silver painted surround around the shifter (Manual) and a cupholder cover. The piece around my shifter is scratched up, and i want and extra cupholder cover to fabricate something with.

Is your car the early 02 with the open and close lid over the cupholders?

Part number:
BN7H-64-340 - listed in the part guide as 'mps susp'. also listed as "BN4 silver metallic"
$65.81 retail 39.52 @ cost
B31A-64-340A - listed as manual transmission 5-door. also listed as "BN4 silver metallic"
$114.20 retail 68.50 @ cost

still not sure why they are so different. The parts catalog of course just shows a diagram of one and then rattles off like 10 different part numbers for it.

yessssir that would be it. However, Id rather not pay dealer cost if possible. Perhaps someone has a wrecked P5/MP3/MSP lying around? Perhaps a silver one with rear end damage? I wonder where I could find one of those......

Congrats!

Im just gonna keep an eye out for some spare parts or a wrecked car to salvage from. Its not a must right now, I could paint the stock ones, So its no biggie.

so, are you looking for the flappy ones or the MSP non-flappy ones? I have my MP3 ones that I could sell you...

I dont understand technical terms like 'flappy'. (cabpatch) I honestly thought the Mp3 and P5 had the same ones.

Here is my interior (from when i first bought it) Im talking about the silver pieces. (gear shift surround and cup holder cover)

Your cupholder has the fold-down flap to cover them when not in use = flappy

Later models did not have the fold-down cover.... but the cup holders are deeper, which keeps taller drinks from falling over.

Yeah that's the same as the P5 one.

2002.5 and up got this cupholder instead:

Normally silver of course. Not a direct swap into the earlier cars, you'd need to replace the center console :'(

^Exactly.
I've got my "flappy" ones available because I got a hold of some MSP/late_P5 cupholders, but I need a centre console to get them to fit...

They'll work.. it'll just look silly. I tried it in my friend's mp3

Cool, well how much do you want for them?

I was thinking maybe 20$+shipping? Not sure how much that would be to our neighbours to the south, but it couldn't be that much...

If you want to see what it looks like, check my vBGarage (http://www.themazdaforum.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=52). Please notice that they do have a small hole in them to accomodate an alarm LED which was installed by the previous owner (which I suppose I could leave in there since it is now useless as the wire got accidentally ripped out when I changed my shifter). It isn't in mint condition having some light scratching - something you would expect from a car with over 100,000miles - but is in otherwise very decent condition.

Let me know.

The hole could be a problem. Let me check some stuff and Ill get back to you. Thanks man.

FYI: What Im looking at doing is turning the cup holder are into a mount for my informeter. This way I can mount it at an angle so I can read it and then when I go to get out of the car I can flip it back down. So that someone doesnt see it and decide to break into my car to steal it.

And the peice around the shifter on mine is scratched up, so I wanted that replaced anyway.

Would you be repainting it? If so then it's nothing a small amount of bondo wouldn't fix.
Either way, let me know as I'm in no rush to get rid of this thing...

I doubt it, but I may consider it. Im gonna check and see what I need to rig up and then go from there.
