View Full Version : Corksport Axle back on P5

I should have posted up a thread about this sooner...but I forgots.

Ok, so I got this Corksport axle back from kamon8404. It came off of his MSP, so naturally, the shortening process had to take place. Now, it's on there, sounds nice (IMO) and provided little improvement in the butt dyno area. Just a little freer flowing above 5k rpm, so the torque curve doesn't feel like it falls off as drastically now.

It's about time! haha I can't talk though as I still have to upload my Carlisle pics.

I can't see the pics now, but I have seen it in person and it is nice, sounds good too.

Looks good, except for the sticking out part. Any plans to get it trimmed closer to fit?

In all honesty, in person the sticking out doesn't look bad at all. It's not bothering me right now. I'd really rather not cut the tip because then I'd ruin the Corksport tag on the side.

Oh, you don't cut that part. You would cut the pipe from behind the muffler, and move it back. It is like $30 at a local muffler shop.

Well, if you are happy, leave it. Guarantee no smoke on the bumper like on my speed 3!

I am going to see if they can do just a little more. But, you're right...no smoke on the bumper!

as big as that pipe is, I thought it would be loud as sh*t, but it sounds pretty decent. Not as good as GHL, of course :P.
