Yay, something relatively (3-4 hrs) close to me! If we get a date early enough, I can suggest it to the Carolina Mazdas gang.

remember to post on the site calendar when you have a date worked out. That way people can be automatically reminded in advance of the event.

i am coming from houston, tx in July. i can't get anyone from tx to come with me though. do you guys usually have any kind of swap meet there. i am in the process of building another p5 and i was hoping that i could find vendors out there that would help me out with parts. i just want to know to get an idea of how much cash to bring and how much i can just leave in the bank.

That was at Mohican State Park in kinda central Ohio. We had a fun run there in September. I turned my rotors blue at that. Good times. Three P5's, two MSPs, a bunch of 6's, several MS6's, and about 5 Focuses. It was fun.

we need to pick a date (start a poll) for this so I can put it on the books for carolinamazdas.com.

Mazda.doll
12-12-2007, 12:42 AM
Poll sound good. Hey Jesu Christa do a poll for the weekends in July and August if you can fit August in there. If you can't put a poll in here, tell me and I'll start a new thread. or ask Chris if he can

liquid_ag
12-12-2007, 12:49 AM
people other than chris can make polls dammit

kansei

Mazda.doll

Thank you!! I knew I could make a poll, but wasn't sure if I could add one on AFTER we made the thread

SATimko
12-12-2007, 09:18 AM
Would it be better to make that poll a multiple choice one? Chances are I have more than one weekend that would be good for me.

kansei
12-12-2007, 09:32 AM
i made the poll dammit :p

you selected the wrong type n00b :wedgie:

I fixed it. had edit some php and a template to enable people to change poll options like that. (cabpatch)

I don't know how it will handle it for those who have already voted.. let me know if you guys wanted to select more weekends but can't, I can just totally reset the poll as well.

SATimko
12-12-2007, 09:37 AM
Yeah, I can't select anything else.

kansei
12-12-2007, 10:01 AM
for now, tell me what you would have voted for and I'll manually update the votes. There's no 'reset poll' option, I'd have to delete the whole poll and start again.

actually, we are looking to make it later, as we want to spend 5-7 days, so we can enjoy all of the watersports, like rafting, jet ski's and the like!

Mazda.doll
03-02-2008, 04:17 AM
That would be a good idea if they wanted to stay. So they have the choice to come one day, a couple of days or all the days to enjoy all the activities. Of course, if any of these guys are going to travel 8 hours or even 12 hours I'm sure they don't want to waste gas and just stay two days.
Good suggestion.
Where do you live?

6 waggin
03-02-2008, 09:46 AM
We live in Cleveland, but my sister in law lives near Johnson City, TN (Erwin), so we ave family near by. I am going to post the link on our Cleveland6club site and have them vote and then I will copy the results over here.

In addition, if we have enough members to commit to this event, I will see about getting sponsorship from Mazda and other sources.

Coolcool. It kinda sucks because the majority of the members here are from Ohio, NY and Michigan : / and thats an 8 hour drive from OH, probably 11 from NY and 8-9 from MI. And A LOT of people aren't willing to drive that. of course this will probably be a once a year thing tho.
I've got a family member that works for Marriott so maybe she can get us a group discount : )

It's over 13 hour drive for me. :( but I'd be willing to do it. I just can't vote because I never have any clue what dates work for me.

August 15-17th I'll be in the Carolinas for another meet (Epic East Coast Mazda Meet 2008). One of those weekends at the end of July I'll be in New Hampshire at the summer house. It's an 18 hour drive from there.

I just voted for that last August weekend. It's a week after I graduate from RIT so who knows.. I might be moving out, might be relocating across the country --what I do know is school obligations won't be in the way lol.

Once a date is set, I can at least try to plan for it.

Mazda.doll
03-04-2008, 08:29 AM
Hopefully I'll be at the EECMM08 : ) It's hard to plan it because of the was the summer houses rent out.
