Forum Upgrade Tonight

The forum upgrade is now complete. I'm sure there are a few bugs to work out, so please let me know if you see things that are strange :)

Known Issues:
- 24 templates need to be hand merged
- Statistics on the portal page are not being calculated
- some visual clutter.. things like the icon/title for each post being displayed, etc.. things that were removed before. There's also some table padding that wasn't present before, gotta check on the styles.
- staff titles
- itrader.. it's still working, just isn't displayed anywhere.

not sure what new setup you're talking about.. I haven't had time to even really look at the forum, merging the templates is an arduous task

no worries :P it isn't 247 blue anyway, it's "we were too lazy to make our site even slightly unique" default vbulletin colours :)

The stats panel on the left side of the front page doesn't appear to be calculating on the fly.

yeah none of the stats are calculating now that I look at it. There were tons of changes from 3.6 to 3.7, I'll have to poke around and see what's up with that. vbAdvanced (the portal home page) was just updated, and supposedly supports 3.7.

edit: oops, forgot to run the upgrade script on that plugin after uploading the new files!

saw this in the output of the script: "Renamed the stats module datastore title."

Edit:

old staff titles mod broke horribly.

New one is installed. Since you put the old one there, do you remember how it was set up or have a URL to it? I need to see what stuff to remove. If you go to edit a user, under where the old staff title is there's a whole new section where you have to enable the staff title and input it.

By default they have no html markup, see my title for example

the trophy is from the arcade, just means he has the high score in some game.

The tag thing.. you can add tags to threads, which I believe makes searching easier.. not exactly sure how they implement the tagging, haven't had a chance to play around.

The bookmarks like I'll probably remove.. it's so you can add a thread to your bookmarks on del.icio.us (see http://del.icio.us/clauretano for an example) or with google's bookmarking service. The other two are to submit a thread as worthy of being on the news site www.digg.com or being on www.stumbeupon.com

i had to edit the template directly for the blue and bold stuff, basically put the added tags for blue and bold, then the text field, then remove. if that makes sense

I can do it that way.. kinda sorta. I won't do it directly that way, hardcoding stuff into the template. I did keep the old template files that were of interest so I can probably look back at that.

I'd just apply a CSS style to that field, which isn't a biggie. I just probably won't get to it tonight, my priority was to make sure the site wasn't totally broken.
